Une migmatite est une roche m\u00e9tamorphique, marqu\u00e9e par le premier stade de la fusion partielle. L\u2019alternance de litages leucosomes et m\u00e9lanosomes est pliss\u00e9 et t\u00e9moigne de la d\u00e9formation en profondeur dans des conditions de temp\u00e9rature proche du solidus.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family:Helvetica ;font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; text-indent:2em\", align=\"justify\"> \nL\u2019\u00e9chantillon marque la limite entre le m\u00e9tamorphisme et le magmatisme qui se fait \u00e0 une grande profondeur. Le granite, en bas, est issu de la cristallisation lente d\u2019un liquide magmatique ayant d\u00e9pass\u00e9 la temp\u00e9rature de 700\u00b0C.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family:Helvetica ;font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; text-indent:2em\", align=\"justify\"> \nCet \u00e9chantillon est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans le livre \u00ab Ce que disent les pierres \u00bb de <strong><u>Maurice Mattauer<\/u><\/strong>, \u00e9dition Belin 1998. La tectonite lui a permis d\u2019illustrer la coexistence de l\u2019\u00e9tat p\u00e2teux et fondu en profondeur, dans ce livre de vulgarisation scientifique. Maurice Mattauer \u00e9tait professeur de g\u00e9ologie \u00e0 l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.umontpellier.fr\/\" target=\"_blanck\" rel=\"noopener\">Universit\u00e9 de Montpellier<\/a>. La roche contient une foliation relique, une S1. Cette premi\u00e8re foliation subverticale est pliss\u00e9e et une nouvelle schistosit\u00e9 subhorizontale se forme dans les axes de pli, une S2. La d\u00e9formation est telle qu\u2019il y a tr\u00e8s peu de traces du S1 et que la S2 est majoritaire dans l\u2019\u00e9chantillon.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family:Helvetica ;font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; text-indent:2em\", align=\"justify\"> \nLa roche provient du <strong>Massif du Tenda en Corse (France)<\/strong> et date du Permien (275 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es). De plus, la d\u00e9formation S1 correspond \u00e0 l\u2019orog\u00e9n\u00e8se alpine et la d\u00e9formation S2 correspond \u00e0 l\u2019extension oligoc\u00e8ne associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;ouverture de l\u2019oc\u00e9an liguro-proven\u00e7al. Cet \u00e9chantillon a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 par <strong><u>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Gueydan<\/u><\/strong> pour sa th\u00e8se et un article paru en 2003. Il pr\u00e9sente une foliation nomm\u00e9e S1 sur le sch\u00e9ma, on peut en d\u00e9duire les axes de la d\u00e9formation. Les porphyroclastes de quartz et feldspath forment des sigmo\u00efdes et montrent le sens de cisaillement senestre. Ainsi, les structures C\/S indiquent la d\u00e9formation ductile.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family:Helvetica ;font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; text-indent:2em\", align=\"justify\"> \nCet \u00e9chantillon provient du <strong>Mont Pilat (sud de St-\u00c9tienne, France)<\/strong>, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 dans une publication scientifique de <strong><u>Jacques Malavieille<\/u><\/strong>. C\u2019\u00e9tait un directeur de recherches \u00e9m\u00e9rite CNRS du laboratoire G\u00e9osciences Montpellier jusqu&#8217;en 2021. Ce gr\u00e8s est affect\u00e9 par des bandes cisaillantes de compaction, c\u2019est un r\u00e9arrangement microstructural des grains par cataclase.
